Expense Manager — Budget App ("the App") is developed and maintained by CodeGif Developers ("we," "us," "our"). This policy explains, in plain terms, what information the App collects when you track expenses, set budgets, and manage your finances, and how that information is handled.
01 Overview
Expense Manager is built to help you track spending, set budgets, and understand your financial habits. Doing that well means handling data that is personal and often sensitive — so this policy is written to be read, not just filed away.
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
02 Information we collect

04 Data storage & security
Your data is stored using industry-standard encryption, both in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256 or equivalent). Depending on your settings, data may be stored locally on your device, in the cloud, or both, to support backup and multi-device sync.
We apply reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Each permission is optional and only requested when the related feature is used. You can manage or revoke permissions anytime through your device settings.

We retain your account and financial data for as long as your account remains active, or as needed to provide the App's features. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.
08 Your rights & choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Access, correct, or export a copy of your personal data
- Delete your account and associated data
- Withdraw consent for optional features (e.g., account linking, notifications)
- Object to or restrict certain processing of your data
- Opt out of non-essential analytics, where offered in-app

09 Children's privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required by your country's law), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, including where our servers or service providers operate. We take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place when data is transferred internationally, consistent with applicable data protection laws.
