Bandishein: Classical Raaga ("Bandishein," "the app," "we," "us") is a search app for Hindustani classical music bandishes. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it's used, and how you can control or delete it.
1 Information we collect
Depending on how you use the app, we collect the following:

We do not collect payment information, and we do not knowingly collect any data beyond what's listed above.
2 Signing in with Google
If you choose to sign in, Bandishein uses Google Sign-In to authenticate your account. We receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google to create and manage your account within the app. We do not receive or store your Google password. You can review or revoke Bandishein's access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account permissions page.
3 Advertising
Bandishein shows ads through Google AdMob to support free access to the app. AdMob may use your advertising ID and other technical identifiers to show ads relevant to you, and to measure ad performance.
If you're located in the European Economic Area, the UK, or another region where consent is required, the app will show a consent form (via Google's User Messaging Platform) before requesting personalized ads, and you can choose to see only non-personalized ads instead. You can review or change your ad choices at any time through your device's system settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads on most Android devices).
Google's use of advertising data is governed by Google's own privacy policy. You can read more at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
4 How we use your information
- To operate core app features: searching, browsing, and displaying bandishes
- To maintain your signed-in account, if you choose to create one
- To diagnose crashes and fix bugs
- To show and measure ads, as described above
- To understand which features are used, so we can prioritize improvements
We do not sell your personal information.
5 Sharing your information
We share limited information with the following categories of service providers, only as needed to operate the app:
- Google Firebase — authentication and app infrastructure
- Google AdMob — ad serving and measurement
- Our own backend, used to serve bandish, raaga, and taal search results
We do not share your information with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.
6 Data retention
We retain account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account (see Section 8), we delete your personal information within a reasonable timeframe, except where we're required to retain limited records for legal or security purposes.
7 Children's privacy
Bandishein is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the email below and we'll remove it.
8 Account deletion and your choices
You can stop using the app and revoke Google Sign-In access at any time through your Google Account settings. To request full deletion of your Bandishein account and associated data, email us — we'll confirm your identity and process the request promptly.

9 Data security
We use industry-standard measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and secure authentication providers, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
10 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
